The Washington DC Region proudly announces the running of the 12 hours At The Point -- an endurance event for sedans and sports cars. Held in June 2009 at Summit Point Motorsports Park in Summit Point, WV, this event is open to competitors in the following SCCA classes: AS, ITA, ITB, ITC, ITR, ITS, SM, SSB, SSC & ST, plus the DC Region specific classes: ITE, SRX7 & SSM.
Spectators Welcome!
The event harks back to the glory days of racing when DC Region held the 12 Hours at Marlboro. Like the events at Marlboro, the 12 hours at the Point is one of the premier endurance races sanctioned by the Sports Car Club of America. It ranks with the finest and most challenging endurance racing in the nation: The Rolex24 at Daytona, traditionally in January; the 12 Hours of Sebring in March.
Registration will open in 2009 at dlbracing.com.
