SUPPS FOR 2012 - ITEMS OF NOTE
Huge Discount for Second MARRS EntrySince the implementation of our second-entry rebate has been so popular, the CRC has decided to offer an even bigger discount to those racing in a second class at any MARRS event at Summit Point in 2012. After the first entry is registered/paid at full price, a second entry for the same race in another class can be purchased for 1/2 price! The car must be registered and driven by the same person in both classes. Half-price second entry fee will be available at the time of on-line registration for the first entry and/or can be purchased at the track.
| 2012 Club Racing TrophiesThere were several improvements to our event trophies last year, which proved to be very popular. The new trophy design implemented in 2011 will once again be used for the 2012 season. After each feature race, winners should go to their Driver’s Rep or designated representative for their trophy. Winners will also receive an engraving plate to affix to the trophy that includes the class and event, and is personalized with their name. The engraving plate will be direct-mailed to the address provided during online registration, within 30 days after the race. Classes with 15 or more starters will now receive trophies for finishing positions 4 and 5, to reward the accomplishment of finishing well in a large field. Finally, to conserve club racing funds, you will have the option to decline a trophy for specified finishing positions during the online registration process. For example, you could help keep costs down by electing to only receive 1st and 2nd place trophies if lower finishing positions are no longer as important to you. Please contact Eric Kurzhals with any questions or suggestions about event trophies or the awards process.   read more ...
| Hard-Copy RegistrationThere is an extra $25 fee for handling when any registration is submitted without using the on-line system. Entry forms may still be mailed or faxed, but must include the handling fee to be processed.
| Use the on-line system to Cancel RegistrationIn order for a full refund to be processed, the on-line registration system must be utilized to electrconically cancel a registration. This can be accomplished even after the event closes for submitting registrations. For processing a withdrawal after the event, contact the Region Office for assistance at (301) 572-7444 or (800) 879-4722.
| One Entry Fee, Two RacesCheck the schedule for each MARRS event; there are 9 Race Groups again this year with 2 days of racing. Saturday will have 10 lap or 20 minute races following qualifying sessions. Sunday will have 18 lap or 40 minute races following hardship practice. This will be for all Race Groups. The Stewards of the meet reserve the right to alter the schedule and/or combine Race Groups when necessary.
| Registration Close and Late DatesThe "Late Date" for Club Racing events is the Wednesday, 3 days prior to the event. Any registrations received after noon on that Wednesday will include a $50 fee. On-line registration through DLB Racing will remain open after noon on Wednesday and stay open/available through noon on the last day of the event. All registrations handled at the track will also include the $50 Late Fee. NOTE: subsequent entries for folks who have previously registered and paid through the on-line registration system for the first entry, will have the $50 Late Fee paid for the second entry refunded after the event.
