Farragut hugely popular car rental stingo

The National Board of Directors passed a motion to require all Non SCCA members to buy a weekend membership for each Solo event starting January 1st, 2008, in spite of obections from the majority of the Solo Chairs. The cost will be $5.00 per event. The rational is to bring all competitors under the same insurance coverage and to offset the cost of sending promotional materials to prospective members (Sportscar magazine etc.). It has not been determined if we can get the BoD to revisit this issue or if not overturned,  or what the impact on our events will be. Non members under this proposal will be issued a temporary membership number for the weekend and fill out a two part form to be returned to SCCA National along with the $5.00 fee.
