Let me clarify: it's not a street car. It's not street legal, it has no tags, it's not insured. For instance, BMWCCA will not allow it in their driver schools - they require cars to be street insured. Most of the other track day clubs will allow a car like this, provided it can pass tech (which it will).
Since the supps are explicit about cars meeting street or GCR standards, I have to ask. This car is safer than a street car, since it is in the process of morphing into a race car. But rules is rules.
I checked with the Safety Steward - looks like I'm good to go.
Looking forward to driving on the new pavement - if it's still new after the 12 Hour.
Good - that's what I thought. You will have a blast. There are really good instructors in the PDX, and this one has no beginners, so it will be a little faster. Enjoy!

Thanks to everyone for putting this event on! It was a great time. And a huge shout out to all of those who worked the 12-hour the day before!
I hope BSR takes the effort to repair the asphalt at 1, 5, and 6. It sucks! Bring back the concrete!
I'll second that! Con-CRETE, con-CRETE! ;-)
