What a great event it was, I had a great time. Thanks to all the committee, registration, safety and corner workers, instructors, and the cook! It was a long day with everyone tired from the day/night before, but you got er' done.
The track was challenging, even with the asphalt problem, which I wasn't going fast enough for it to make a difference. I think by the end of the day I finally started to get the knack of the turn 6-8 complex (thanks Scott).
I learned a tremendous amount about my driving, still need more work on braking, high speed turns, downshifting, well just about everything, but I think I'm improving. First time in 5th gear for the car, now I know it works.
Thank again everyone, I had a blast, can't wait for the next one.

Glad to know that you have a good time - the pavement certainly wasn't glassy smooth, that's fer sure. I took the General Li out for the 2nd morning session and scared myself at least once in T1 when the car skated over the broken track surface @ the apex, pushing towards the dirt. T6 is about as bad as it was before - no full throttle until the car pushes to the edge of the track.
Once you get the rhythm in the Carousel, it's alot of fun and quite fast!!! The biggest challenge as you start to drive faster is changing your shift and turn-in points to match your new-found speed.
