Roll bar

New member, looking to have a 4 point roll bar with removal harness mount made for my 07 Shelby mustang, that I plan on running in PDX events. Is it more or less costly to have one made or should I just buy one from autopower and install it myself?.

I live in Hunt Valley, Maryland

Re: Roll bar

Joe,

As a rule, it will probably cost a little more to have a roll bar made, but in almost all cases you'll end up with a noticeably better product in the end. Specifically, the fit of a custom roll bar should be much better, and you should get some input on some of the details.

Re: Roll bar

I've been researching that question for awhile, also, and have come to the same conclusion (custom is better for the reasons cited).  Nevertheless, I found a bolt-in real cheap and am planning to go that route.

Re: Roll bar

Definitely a good investment, but not required to run your car in PDX events.
