Question about tire wear pattern

I have a noob question hopefully someone will help me with. Took my new Hankook RS3s to the track and removed them the other day for winter storage. I noticed two distinct colorations of the tire. The outside edge of each front tire was good and dark black just like the tire when it was new (un-driven on). The rest of the face of the tire was gray-ish such that you could tell there had been good contact with the track surface. To be honest, I don't rmember the coloration of the rear tires but I can check.  My 350Z is stock in the camber etc department. This says to me that the outside edge of the tire may not be contacting the track surface (maybe, so correct me if I am wrong, please). If this is correct, could I get better grip with adjustable camber arms etc or is it worth trying different tire pressures? I start with 35 psi each. These front tires are 265/35/18s BTW on 8.5 inch rims.

Sorry for the inexperienced question but just trying to learn.
Thanks

Re: Question about tire wear pattern

Update- the rear tires the line is more pronounced than the front tires.  On the rear tires, the outside 1.5 inches or so definitely feel rough and is visably roughened compared to the rest of the tire surface, which is still smooth and not as black.  The front tires have a definite line there that looks more like coloration rather than a rough texture to the rubber. The fronts are not a rough on the outside edges.  Any ideas what causes this and what, if anything, I should do to fix it?

Re: Question about tire wear pattern

Images might help. First 3 links are front tires. The graining and darkening are not as visible on the front as it is the rear tires. Rear s are last 3 links.  Please see below:
