Virginia International Raceway is still in Danville,Va. I was there last week testing and it still looks pretty much the same.

As far as the MARRS/SARRC race weekend (which I think is your question) the competition commitee elected not to do it this year. There were several issues that lead to that decision but I don't know all the facts so I will not speculate. The North Carolina Region folks are still doing the race event on Mothers Day weekend so you could go and participate but it is not a MARRS points race.

I agree with you that there is no substitute for VIR. But the schedule is the schedule.
