Radio frequencies for MARRS

Thinking of a race radio for next season. Is there a control or other frequency that a team should or can monitor?

Re: Radio frequencies for MARRS

Thank you. Most of the radios I see advertised for race team use are available in either UHF or VHF bands, but the UHF bands seem to be the popular ones. Do teams use a VHF scanner or receiver to monitor those frequencies? What of use to a race team is broadcast on those frequencies?

crew monitors the race control freq on a scanner and radios pertenant info like yellow flags and crashes to the driver on the team freq.  too much chatter on control freq for driver to deal with.
