Your Nawth Carolina Buds Need YOU too!

Hey Y'all, tired of cold, rainy, cold days? Me too! The NC Region teased the Weather Stewards into using up all of their cold, rainy, windy days last weekend for the "March Memories" event. So .... after you guys & gals work your Driver's School (and THINK you've gotten your racin' "fix"), COME ON DOWN! NCR is holding their First Annual DOUBLE NATIONAL April 11-13 (FRIDAY, Saturday & Sunday)

Oak Tree Double National Workers...Choose Your Incentive!
For the Oak Tree Double National on April 11-13, workers have the choice of either the usual punch of the worker card for each day worked (valued at $30 a punch), or motel rooms. Motel rooms will be provided for 3 nights, double occupancy (single rooms are available, but worker pays half) and must be arranged for through Sara Snider atSSnider30@aol.comor 252-249-6520 before April 9th. In addition, there's a really nice worker gift for the weekend, great food provided for lunch each day and there are two socials scheduled (Friday and Saturday evening).

Re: Your Nawth Carolina Buds Need YOU too!

Well, I guess "preview" and "edit" functions are beyond my expertise .... dang computers ... The rest of the story is:

The NCR Double National is a first time event. We believe it is going to be BIG and grow from there. The same good folk that are the Event ChairPeople for the SeDiv Dou National at Roebling Road in July, are the Event Chairs for this event (NCR has been loaning these good people to Roebling for a few years). Ask some of your co-workers who have worked the Dou in Roebling, if they were treated well AND enjoyed a lot of great racing.

This event is early in the year, so drivers from a very large geographical area are expected. OBTW, THANKS for moving WDCR's National from the dead of Summit Point's winter to May (YEAH!!!). You'll probably get to see a lot of your NE National drivers there, getting in their out-of-division events w/o a lot of travel and warming up for the WDCR National at Summit.

Bottom Line: Y'all come!!! The earlier (un-edited) post gives you details of your chocies between "worker points" or a room. We need workers for FRIDAY's qualifying and "weeding out" (BIG TIME!!!!), Saturday and Sunday races (see the schedule).

I certainly would like to see the DC workers there.

Re: Your Nawth Carolina Buds Need YOU too!

I would like to THANK the DC flaggers who made their way to VIR for the Double National. We appreciated having 6  DC folk who traded in snow for thunderstorms. I think they enjoyed themselves, especially our new tradition of feeding us "sketty" & meatballs during the thunderstorms!!! No one left VIR hungry!

We also enjoyed the DC drivers scurrying around ... w/o you guys it would be real boring standing around the flag stations.

We look forward to returning to Summit to re-pay the favor. Cya soon.
