Supps Question - Novice stripes

In the Supps for MARRS 1 it states:

"All Novice permit holders must display three parallel stripes on both sides and the rear of their race car following the GCR specifications for car numbers."

I understand the visibility requirements in the GCR, but did not see anything regarding:

1.) Where on the car the stripes are supposed to be positioned in relation to the number/class?

2.) Are those three parallel vertical stripes or three parallel horizontal stripes or three parallel diagonal stripes?

Thanks

Keith

Re: Supps Question - Novice stripes

Keith,

Contrasting color is a must so they are visable.    Perferably 3 verticle lines or diaginal have been used.  They need not be near the class but they need to be clearly visible.

On your mini the rear quater pannel use some white race tape and 3 strips, do the same on your hatch and your good to go.  Remove the tape on Sunday to avoid leaving the glue behind.

Here where my stripes which where considered acceptable

Re: Supps Question - Novice stripes

it would be MUCH better if all three stripes were the same color and in an obvious place on the sides and back of the car.  the point of the stripes is for the other drivers to know you are out there.  having multiple colors makes it look like decorative graphics, not newbie stripes.

Re: Supps Question - Novice stripes

if you can put them near the numbers even better.  keep it simple and to the point.
