Camping at SP?

We're going to be up at SP for the 12-hour and PDX (working both). We've never camped at SP before. What's the process? We're just looking at pictching a tent, not bringing an RV or anything.  Since we won't be there until mid-day Saturday, will there be a problem getting a space in the workers camping area?

Re: Camping at SP?

If you are working the event there is no problem. there usually is plenty of room for tents. One piece of advice; keep your tent on high ground.

Re: Camping at SP?

I'm planning on bringing the family for MARRS 3 so I thought I'd resurrect this one.  Can anyone recommend a relatively kid friendly (party-proof) spot?  I'm thinking I need to avoid the Carousel.  Maybe the woods, but in my memory it seems like all the spots are too close to the roads.  Are there any decent tent sized spots between the tower and turn one?

Re: Camping at SP?

Party Proof???????

You will most likely need to be faily close to turn one. Sometimes there is a good party there too. The area just below the tower is reserved for worker camping. There are 1 or 2 failrly large and set back spots in the woods but I would imagine they go first. Good Luck and have fun!!!!
