These forums will be email enabled. Think Yahoo Groups. More info enroute eventually.
One idea is to ask why they are staying away. I have asked this question and received several different responses, including paddock, weather, schedule (sometimes all three are linked together, often they aren't). Once the main reasons why people who used to attend no longer do, it will then be up to the CRC/BoD to find a way to fix the issues and let people know they have responded.
Give them more
More track time
Discounted entry fees for future MARRS events for out of region drivers
More hospitality (assign WDCR members as ambassadors to ease registration, paddock spaces, wake up calls from MOBY etc
oh and did I say more track time

How about asking the drivers? Email or write every driver who has attended the national race for the past 3-5 years, and ask them what it would take to get them to come in 2011. For that matter, I would try to get entry lists from other regions in the NE/SE and contact those drivers. That's the only way I can see to figure it out - everything else is just guesswork.
