There was a Driver Survey done after the 2009 National, the results of that might be a good starting point. I'll see if I can locate a copy of the results
I would think a small discount for WDCR Entrants should be considered with the MARRS Entry Discount being available for all to come to race.

One thing I haven't seen anyone mention is to take a look at how Mark Coffin transformed the last regional of the year at VIR into the Prodfest, I know it's not exactly the same but if memory serves I think the biggest thing he did was just got the word out to everyone to motivate them and let everyone know who was going to show up. Everyone talks about the easy points nationals, but I think most also thrive on good competition, kind of like ladies night at the bars, a little something else to entice them. I'm not sure it needs to go as far as the prodfest but he did make it a success.
I've asked the person that took the surveys to allow me to make them available and he has agreed, unfortunately he is at the FIA Meetings in Monaco - and I won't get them for a few days. Let me know where to send them.
