GRAND-AM/ALMS RACING

Are there any groups that get together to watch sports car racing on TV?  Rolex 24 is this weekend.

Re: GRAND-AM/ALMS RACING

There will be about 10-12 DC Region members getting together Saturday to watch it from the best seat in the house, drivers left at the Bus Stop Chicane.  There will be 8-9 of us will be working the 7:30-11:30 (AM&PM) shift at the Bus Stop, at least that is the shift I think we'll be working.   The others will be working the 3:30 to 7:30.

Re: GRAND-AM/ALMS RACING

Hey Sebring is this weekend (March 20).  This should be a very interesting season in GT with lots of Ferrari and Porsche competition plus Corvette and BMW thrown in the mix (not to mention a lonely Jag).

I noticed in another post in thei thread it looks like some of the members were able ot go to the Rolex 24 and work. How did you accomplish that and how might I get involved?  Sound spretty cool. Thanks

Re: GRAND-AM/ALMS RACING

Working the 24 is easy and a ton of fun!! :)  To be part of the fun get an F&C license, come out to Summit Point for MARRS1 in April, flag a few events to get some experience, then talk to Lin. Then make reservations and join the fun in Daytona.
