'Tis the season of the DC Auto Show, and the DC Region will be there in an effort to shed its Secret Car Club of America image! Visitors of the show are there because they are interested in cars, and we are there to show them that driving on public roads is BORING!!
This blog post is soliciting volunteers to help with the exhibits, both in cars and in volunteers.
(with permission to cross post... i.e. I didn't write this all myself)
As in previous years, the DC Region will be exhibiting some of its competitors' cars at the 2010 DC Auto Show, January 27 - January 31, 2010. This is a great opportunity to see top flight competition cars from all of our competition disciplines, including Club Racing, Solo, RallyCross and Road Rally.
In addition to the car exhibits, there will be exhibits on driver safety, safety equipment, and an exhibit showing how one can volunteer at a DC Region event!
How can you help?
- If you have a car that competes in SCCA events and think it should be in the show, please send the event coordinator, Ian Baker, an e-mail.
- We also need volunteers to staff the exhibit while the show is open. Volunteers are especially needed for the daytime hours on Wednesday January 27, Thursday January 29 and Friday January 29. If you have a car in the show or can volunteer for a couple hours, an exhibitor pass made for you which will allow you into the show anytime.
Again, please contact Ian Baker for any details or if you can help.
General admission and directions can be found on the Washington Auto Show site.
Cheers!
