Junior Karting Solo School
|
Our future racers shouldn't have to be put onto the course without prior driving knowledge, but that knowledge was hard to give to them before now. The Junior Karting school will consist of several drills to familiarize kids with the karts and test their skills, as well as a full autocross course to run.
The school is two hours long (4pm - 6pm) and there are up to 10 spots available. The cost of the school is $75. The participant must be at least 5 years of age and have their own kart, but no experience necessary. Siblings can share a kart, but will not get as much seat time. Children with prior experience are welcome and will simply advance through the drills faster to get more time on the course.
IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION
A minor waiver must be filled out by both parents and one parent must be present at the school (link on DLB).
The full proper gear will need to be worn:
- SNELL 95 Full face helmet with shield
- Neck Collar
- Skid resistant kart suit OR Skid resistant jacket and jeans (leather or jean jacket acceptable)
- Gloves (motocross gloves are great)
In the event of rain, the school will be cancelled and everyone refunded. These schools are likely to happen about twice a year. The Junior Kart School will take place following a Level 1 or 2 school at FedEx Field in Landover, MD
