SOLO

 

 

Solo is a timed competition that emphasizes car control driver skill in a low risk environment. It is one of the most popular entry level motor sports events, with hundreds of events being put on each month across the country. The WDCR region generally runs events from early march through late October. Cars are timed while driving as fast as possible through a course defined with pylons, with each pylon knocked over or moved out of it's marked box a 2 second penalty is added to the time. Safety is paramount, with lots of room for mistakes and usually just pylons being hit solo is a great way to get into driving your car at the limit.

 

The DC region puts on events starting in mid-March and going through November. Events are located around the Washington DC area, mainly at FedexField in Landover, MD. If just showing up at an event is intimidating or you just want some practice first we offer several levels of Solo schools to get you up to speed. The calendar below shows any upcoming events, along with links for registration and other event info.
