WDCR Events At Dominion Raceway
In 2020 the WDCR is committed to a HPDE (High Performance Driver Education) and Time Trials program on the 2 mile road course.
Save the Date! Saturday August 24 @ 3 PM
Your region is looking for motivated members to help run the Track Events programs at Dominion and to that end, Dominion Raceway and the Washington DC Region are co-hosting an organizational meeting for SCCA members and those interested in SCCA events destined for Dominion Raceway.
SCCA members and guests are invited to attend an orientation at Dominion Raceway. The purpose of the event is to introduce Dominion Raceway to members who have not been there and to generate interest in participation for Track Events beginning in 2020. There will be discussion about how to put programs on at Dominion Raceway including sanctioning, need for volunteers and officials, and potential participants.
Following program development discussions, there will be a low speed learn and turn familiarization with the track. The track will be opened for pace-controlled laps for about an hour following the meeting. Food will be provided following the meetings and parade laps.
Dominion Raceway and Entertainment is providing a very special evening for the group attending the SCCA meetings. There is not any racing scheduled for the center track oval, but there is a wonderful concert.
Shenandoah and Restless Heart will be providing a show and entertainment for the evening beginning 7:00PM. Shenandoah is an outstanding country act with 13 #1 hits, 3 certified gold albums and placed 26 singles on Billboard's hot country song chart.
Steve Britt and the Dominion Raceway are putting out the red carpet for our DC Region. The Champion Suite has been reserved and we will all be guests of Dominion Raceway Management for the evening.
Registration is now open - please use this link!
Please register early, it is free, but you must be pre-registered to attend.
