The Western Maryland Chapter (WMC) is an addition to the Washington DC Region of the SCCA. The WMC has existed in many forms since the early 1950’s. If you’re familiar with races at the Cumberland Airport and hill climbs in western Maryland, your familiar with their past accomplishments. When the hillclimb started back in the mid 50’s, there were entrants with names you might recognize like Carroll Shelby and DIck Thompson.
